Globe Lines new promo






I have been a Globelines subscriber for almost 5 to 6 years I guess, and I am still happy with the service I am receiving from it. This week a friend of mine said about a promo regarding the new price in their plans. I immediately browse their promos and there it was the plan P1099 for 2Mbps speed.


At that time I am under the plan P1299, since I am still satisfied with my 2Mbps plan I just downgraded my plan. The only part I don't like is that I still have to pay an additional P500+ just for the downgrade.

Below is the FAQs from the globe site regarding the plan.

1. What are the new plans of Tattoo Home?

The new plans of Tattoo Home Broadband offers the fastest home broadband bundles in the market today with its upgraded speeds.

2. Who can avail of the new plans?

New subscribers starting Jan 15, 2014 can avail of these new plans. Existing subscribers can upgrade or downgrade their existing subscriptions to these plans, subject to upgrade/downgrade policies.

3. Is this a limited offer?

This is a permanent offer.

4. When can I avail of this new plan?

The new plans are available starting Jan 15, 2014.

5. Where can I apply?
  • New subscribers can apply via any of the following channels:
    • Apply Online
    • Sales Hotline - 730-1010
    • Globe Store
    • Globe authorized agent

6. What freebies can I get with the plan?

All broadband bundles come with free unlicalls to Globe and TM and free 1 month speed boost (the latter is not applicable to WX 2Mbps).

7. What if I want to avail of the old plans is this still available?

The old plans for internet-only have been phased out and are no longer available.

8. Is there a lock-in period?

- Lock-in is 24 months for all internet-only plans.
- Lock-in is 12 months for Bundle plans. However, lock-in is 24 months if subscriber is availing of unlicalls G2G or a modem upgrade.

9. What is the upfront payment?

Upfront payment is the advance Monthly Service Fee paid at the time of application or at the time of installation in the absence of Proof of Financial Capacity documents.

10. To whom is the upfront payment given to?

If application is via a Globe authorized agent, via tattoo.globe.com.ph, or via hotline, the installer will collect the upfront payment. If application is made at the Globe Store, upfront payment will be asked at point of application. 

11. Is the upfront payment refundable?

The upfront payment is not refundable but is deducted to your first or second bill.

12. How do I pay for the installation fee?

The installation fee is charged to bill and is divided into 3 monthly installments.

13. What is the Wireless Landline Fee?

The Wireless Landline Telset Fee is a one-time Php1,200 charge that applies only to WiMAX and LTE subscribers. This fee is payable in 6 monthly installments. Php200 is paid upfront during installation or upon application. The balance of Php1000 will be amortized into 5 months.

14. What is the Modem Activation Fee?

The Modem Activation Fee is a one-time Php1,200 charge that applies only to WiMAX and LTE Plan 999 internet-only subscribers. This fee is payable in 6 monthly installments. Php200 is paid upfront during installation or upon application. The balance of Php1000 will be amortized into 5 months.

15. Can I avail of the Speed Boost add-on?

Yes, you can avail of the Speed Boost add-on. The Speed Boost add-on will add up to 1 Mbps speed on top of your current bandwidth during the hours of the day when the boost is effective. This add-on is available to DSL and WiMAX subscribers.

16. How can I renew my Speed Boost add-on?

Speed Boost registrations will auto-renew monthly until you opt out of the feature.

17. How can I stop my Speed Boost add-ons?

To opt out of your Speed Boost add-on/s, you may call the after-sales hotline (730-1000), visit your nearest Globe Store, or request deactivation via tattoo.globe.com.ph/addons.

18. What if I want to avail of the old plans, are these still available?

The old plans have been phased out and are no longer available.

19. Is there a lock-in period?
